The Sports School of Shenzhen University Helps the Golf Industry Standard Build to New Heights

On the morning of January 21, 2025, the press conference for the construction of group standards for the golf industry was held at the Shenzhen Golf Club. As one of the drafting units of the documents, the Sports School of Shenzhen University attended the meeting alongside representatives from the Guangdong Golf Association, Shenzhen Golf Association, Shenzhen Standardization Research Institute, Pan-American Al Sports Lab, major golf clubs in Shenzhen, and various media representatives.

Dr. Shao Xueyun, an international golf referee, Director of the Golf Teaching and Research Department, Leader of the Golf Program, Associate Professor at the Sports School of Shenzhen University, attended the meeting as the main expert representative for the drafting of the documents. She reported and answered questions from experts and journalists on the "Shenzhen Golf Association Group Standard Management Measures," the Shenzhen Golf Association's "Golf Caddie Service Requirements" group standard, and the "Golf Course Standard Tee Point System Setting and Application Requirements" group standard. The Sports School of Shenzhen University provided professional support for the scientific and practical aspects of the standard construction, highlighting the authority and leading position of Shenzhen University’s Sports School in the field of golf.

It is worth mentioning that the patent achievement of the "Golf Course Standard Tee Point System," jointly developed by the Sports School of Shenzhen University and the Pan-American AI Sports Lab, has already been approved by The R&A, an international authoritative organization in golf. This accomplishment not only demonstrates the outstanding technological research and development capabilities of both parties, but also provides strong support for the standardization and internationalization of golf. In the future, both parties plan to jointly establish the "Shenzhen University Pan-American AI Sports Lab," further deepening cooperation and jointly promoting innovation and development in the sport of golf.
