Good news: Wang Haoyu, a student majoring in sports training, won six gold medals at the Asian Swimming Championships.

The 2025 Asian Swimming Championships were held from September 28 to October 1 in Ahmedabad, India, marking the return of the event after a nine-year hiatus. The Chinese delegation sent 11 athletes, primarily young competitors, and ultimately secured 28 gold medals. Historical data shows that the Chinese swimming team's previous best performance at the Asian Championships was in 2016, when they won 24 gold medals.

Wang Haoyu, a student majoring in sports training (Class of 2024) at the College of Physical Education of Shenzhen University, participated in this competition. Through teamwork and hard work with his teammates, he won a total of 6 gold medals—the individual gold medal in the men's 100m freestyle and 5 relay gold medals (men's 4×100m freestyle relay, men's 4×100m medley relay, men's 4×200m freestyle relay, mixed 4×100m freestyle relay, and mixed 4×100m medley relay). His outstanding performance contributed to the Chinese team's first-place finish in the overall standings.
