To deepen the integration of sports and education and promote the coordinated development of culture, sports, and tourism, the College of Physical Education at Shenzhen University proactively planned and prepared for its winter vacation "Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands of Projects" Commando Team activities. This initiative was based on the notice released by the Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League regarding the "15th 'Challenge Cup' Guangdong College Student Entrepreneurship Plan Competition Heyuan 'Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands of Projects' Special Competition." From February 2 to 3, 2026, a special sports rural revitalization empowerment practice group, led by Wang Dong, Vice Dean of the College, and comprising Liu Yanhong (Party Branch Secretary of the Golf and Leisure Tourism Department), Yuan Jun (Department Chair), Zhang Jie (Director of the Sports Theory Teaching and Research Office), Shu Cheng (College Youth League Committee Secretary), and seven students, visited Heyuan City for a series of discussions and research activities.

This research represents a practical effort by the College to deeply integrate the "Challenge Cup" project with the "Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands of Projects" initiative. Through discussions and coordination, group research, needs assessment, and proposal responses, the team not only gained an accurate understanding of Heyuan's practical needs in terms of revitalizing ancient villages and preserving intangible cultural heritage but also proposed feasible development pathways relying on the intellectual resources of higher education institutions and the innovative power of youth.
