The School of Physical Education successfully held the 2024 Academic exchange meeting of Anti-doping Branch of Chinese Society of Sports Science
From December 6 to 8, the "2024 Academic Exchange Meeting of Anti-doping Branch of Chinese Sports Science Society", hosted by the Anti-Doping Branch of Chinese Society of Sports Science and organized by the School of Physical Education of Shenzhen University, was held in the multi-functional conference hall on the second floor of the Alumni Square of Yuehai Campus of Shenzhen University. The meeting was guided by the Anti-Doping Center of the General Administration of Sport of China. More than 70 experts, scholars, sports professionals and college students from all over the country gathered together to discuss the latest progress and challenges in the field of anti-doping.
The meeting was chaired by Wang Zhen, vice president of the Urban Sports Research Institute of Shenzhen University, and opened with warm applause. Liu Jian, dean of the School of Physical Education of Shenzhen University, first delivered a speech, emphasizing the importance of anti-doping work in the development of sports today, and expressing a warm welcome to the guests, experts and scholars. Then, Lin Haiyan, deputy director of the Anti-Doping Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, delivered an important speech, sharing the country's latest policies and future plans in the field of anti-doping, as well as his determination to maintain a level playing field environment.
Subsequently, the meeting held a solemn award ceremony.
In the subsequent panel discussion, 22 experts from national universities, judicial practice departments, and the legal profession engaged in in-depth discussions on four topics: 'international and domestic anti-doping governance systems', 'long-arm jurisdiction and countermeasures', 'anti-doping rule of law guarantees', and 'anti-doping and the protection of young athletes' rights and interests'.
The successful holding of this conference not only promoted the exchange and cooperation of anti-doping work at home and abroad, but also provided important ideas and reference for further improving the anti-doping legal and regulatory system in China.
