To fully demonstrate the sports competitive level of college students and convey the spirit of sports competition, the basketball preliminary competition (Group B) of the 12th Guangdong University Sports Games kicked off at Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University on November 1st to 11th, 2024. The event attracted 45 university teams from across the province to participate. After an intense 10-day, 9-game schedule, the men’s basketball team of Group B from Shenzhen University’s School of Physical Education achieved an outstanding result, winning the first prize (fifth place) in the competition and securing a spot in next year’s Guangdong Universiade basketball finals.
