On May 30, 2026, the 8th National University Golf Championship and the Golf Tournament of the National Sports Training Competition Alliance came to a successful close at Guilin Merryland Golf Club. As a top golf event for universities in China, the tournament gathered nearly 400 athletes from 66 colleges and universities nationwide for a thrilling competition.

It was divided into four divisions: the Level 9 Elite Group (Professional and Amateur Divisions), the Level 8 Major Group (Undergraduate and Vocational College Divisions), the Level 7 Recreational Group and the International Student Group. Shenzhen University dispatched 7 students to compete in the Level 9 Group and 8 students in the Level 8 Group. Dean Zhang Debao of the School of Physical Education acted as the team leader. Teacher Shao Xueyun coached the Level 8 Group, and Teacher Cai Wenfei was in charge of the Level 9 Group.

After three days of intense contests, our team achieved remarkable results with 5 gold medals and 2 bronze medals. The university was awarded the title of "Excellent Participating Team", and Teachers Shao Xueyun and Cai Wenfei were named "Excellent Coaches".

This event ranks among the most prestigious, competitive and influential golf galas for universities across the country. The Shenzhen University Golf Team made groundbreaking achievements in the tournament, sweeping all five titles in the Level 9 Elite Amateur Group: Mixed Team, Men's Team, Women's Team, Men's Individual and Women's Individual. In the Level 8 Undergraduate Group, the team took sixth place in both Mixed Team and Men's Team events, and eighth place in the Women's Team event.

These results fully demonstrate the remarkable achievements of the School of Physical Education in cultivating high-level competitive sports talents, as well as the team's strong upward momentum.
